Sidhartha Patnaik

Sidhartha (Sid) is an Architect with a Masters of Planning (housing studies) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). In the last 16 years, Sid has exclusively worked in design, management and project evaluation in the areas of city planning, solid waste management, WASH, urban roads, slum upgradation and affordable housing.  Sid brings strong credentials supporting capacity building and institutional strengthening activities with the public sector. Most of his consulting projects are heavily inclined towards on-job capacity building for the stakeholders with knowledge transfer. Together, he has worked with over 50 municipalities in Ghana, Kenya, India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Sid is a PRINCE2 qualified project management practitioner and a licensed expert in IFC’s EDGE green building certification system, focused on making projects resource efficient.

In 2011, Sid had set-up the Africa subsidiary of an international development sector consulting company in Kenya and Ethiopia. Over eight years, he has driven the company to a reasonable success by leading the operations that include strategic planning, staff recruitment, coaching and mentoring, risk management, and internal and external communications. Before working in Africa (2005-11), he has managed major consultancy assignments in South East Asia, especially in India, Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Maldives and Bangladesh.
