Dr. Joseph Onjala
Economist
Joseph has over 25 years of experience in development economics in urban, agribusiness and social sectors. With a PhD in Environment, Technology and Social Studies, Joseph has been involved as a socio-economist in providing technical assistance to lending operations for small and medium agrisector investments integrating smallholders, improving lives of coastal communities through an integrated approach to the uses of marine resources (blue economy) and building resilience for water resource management, among others. Dr Onjala brings strong analytical experience of population, employment and income projections, trade flows, transport sector studies, and baseline and impact assessment studies for development and poverty alleviation projects.
